The implementation of the Old Age Pensions and Disability Allowance Act, Amendment 2021 and the Disabled Persons Order, 2021 will support the Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam various initiatives towards the development of an inclusive society. The matter was among those stated by the Permanent Secretary for Community and Culture, Ministry Of Culture, Youth And Sports during the briefing on the Dissemination of the Old Age Pensions and Disability Allowance Act, (Amendment) 2021 and the Disabled Persons Order, 2021, yesterday morning. Dayang Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari explained that the dissemination were given priority to the Penghulu and village head who play an important role as the front line in confirming and delivering the payment of pensions and allowances. The briefing took place yesterday morning at the Sports Gallery, Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium, Berakas.
Also present was Awang Maswadi bin Haji Mohsin, Permanent Secretary for Policy and Management at the Ministry of Health. The briefing aims to provide a thorough understanding to the Penghulus and Village Heads on the proposed amendments to the Old Age Pensions and Disability Allowance Act, Amendment 2021.
In Temburong District, the briefing held at the Muafakat Hall of the Government Departments Building was presented by Dayang Saidah binti Haji Wahid, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Community at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The briefing was conducted by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports together with the Ministry of Finance and Economy, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Home Affairs.
