The Ministry of Religious Affairs strives to streamline and realize the strategic focus of Safety Assurance and Social Welfare as well as improve network integration and cooperation opportunities in the fields related to tithe, endowment, wills and Baitul Mal. The matter was stated by the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs during the Goodwill Visit and cooperation negotiations with the Department of Awqaf, Zakat and Hajj Malaysia.
The delegation was led by Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, who also made a courtesy call to Yang Berhormat Senator Datuk Doctor Naim Mokhtar, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office of Religious Affairs, Malaysia.
Earlier, the delegation held a discussion with the Department of Awqaf, Zakat and Hajj Malaysia. The courtesy call and Cooperation Negotiations identified the best practices in administration affairs, human resource management, organisational structure, finance, legislation, mechanisms for collection and distribution of Tithe and Property Tithe, Accreditation of Religious Teaching Credentials and Asnaf Empowerment Programme.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs delegation are on a nine-day visit starting from 30th January to Malaysia and the Republic of Singapore. During the visit, cooperation negotiations with several entities or subsidiaries of the Islamic Religious Council of States in Malaysia and the Republic of Singapore were also held.
