His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam, attended the Majlis Istiadat Berbedak Pengantin Diraja or Powdering Ceremony for His Majesty’s daughter, Her Royal Highness Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bolkiah and Yang Mulia Awang Abdullah Nabil Mahmoud Al-Hashimi. The ceremony took place at Istana Nurul Iman.

The arrival of His Majesty and Her Majesty at the Balai Singgahsana Indera Buana, Istana Nurul Iman, was preceded by the Penglima Diraja carrying the Pemuras and Karga as well as the Penglima Asgar carrying the Kelasak and Kampilan, accompanied by the bearers of the Alat-Alat Perhiasan Tunggal.

Her Royal Highness Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bolkiah arrived at the Balai Singgahsana Indera Buana flanked by Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah and Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Masna.

His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri were then invited to lead the powdering ceremony for Her Royal Highness Princess Fadzilah Lubabul Bolkiah. At the same time, a 17 cannon shots rang out, indicating the start of the ceremony.

Yang Mulia Awang Abdullah Nabil Mahmoud Al-Hashimi then arrived at the Balai Singgahsana Indera Buana flanked by a person designated to accompany the groom-to-be.
