The Minister of Health also shared on the accomplishments of the National Vaccination Programme as of the 13th February 2022.
Those who have received three doses is 46.3 percent of the total population, meanwhile for those who have received one dose and two doses is respectively more than 94 percent. Scientific studies have also found that two doses of COVID-19 vaccine can provide additional protection against the severe effects of COVID-19, however three doses of the vaccine will provide additional protection of up to over 90 percent against the same severe effects.
At present, the bed occupancy rate in isolation centres nationwide is 20.4 percent where 483 active cases are placed in isolation centres. 5,993 cases are undergoing home self-isolation. There are 99 active clusters currently under the Ministry of Health’s monitoring at this time, of which no clusters involving businesses or public places is detected.
To provide a clearer picture of the location of the positive cases detected in the county, the Ministry of Health shared some of the results of the research that has been conducted. Between 6th to 12th February 2022, there were 15 mukim that had more than 80 cases. The mukim identified are Mukim Gadong ‘A’; Mukim Berakas ‘B’; Mukim Sengkurong; Mukim Gadong ‘B’, Mukim Mentiri; Mukim Serasa, Mukim Kilanas; Mukim Berakas ‘A’; Mukim Pengkalan Batu; Mukim Kota Batu; Mukim Lumapas; Mukim Seria; Mukim Kuala Belait; Mukim Liang and Mukim Telisai. 5 mukim had more than 40 positive cases namely Mukim Sungai Kebun; Mukim Kianggeh; Mukim Pekan Tutong; Mukim Keriam and Mukim Bokok.
