MANILA: The Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) has forged a partnership with AICE Philippines as the official ice cream of Team Philippines in the Paris Olympics scheduled July 26 to Aug. 11.
POC president Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino and Aice Philippines brand manager Shereene Yu-De Leon signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) at Discovery Primea Hotel in Makati City on Wednesday.
Tolentino expressed POC’s gratitude to AICE Philippines for supporting the Olympians, who will leave on June 22 for a training camp in Metz, France.
‘At the peak of summer in Paris, AICE cream products are very much needed. Thank you and mabuhay (long live) to AICE,’ Tolentino said after the signing ceremony also attended by POC secretary-general Wharton Chan.
Tolentino said the ice cream company based in Singapore is the official partner of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) at the Paris Games.
‘Since its establishment, AICE has adhered to a good life. Our success is a testament to quality and innovation for the Filipinos
. We will join hands with the POC to support the Filipino athletes reflecting shared values of honor and pride and to bring joy and happiness,’ Yu-De Leon said.
AICE has more than 2,000 employees and at least two million, she added.
“The partnership between AICE and the POC signifies the continuous collaboration that would inspire the Filipino athletes and the Filipino people as a whole,’ Yu-De Leon said.
