APUCEN Council Outlines 2026 Strategies During Pulau Pinang Meeting

Pulau pinang: The 21st Asia-Pacific University-Community Engagement Network (APUCEN) Regional Council Meeting was recently convened at Pulau Pinang, Malaysia, alongside the Compassion Summit 2025. The event was organized by Universiti Sains Malaysia, which serves as the APUCEN Secretariat.

According to Radio Television Brunei, Associate Professor Doctor Abdul Nasir bin Haji Abdul Rani, Ra'es of Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College, KUPU SB, participated as a member of the APUCEN Council. The meeting addressed various agendas, including updates on recent developments, activities, and initiatives spearheaded by APUCEN council members. Additionally, the council charted strategic directions for 2026 and discussed plans for the upcoming 8th Community Engagement Network University Seminar. This seminar is set to take place in Pulau Pinang, Malaysia, in 2026, coinciding with the 15th anniversary of APUCEN.

Concurrently, Universiti Sains Malaysia facilitated the Compassion Summit 2025 under the theme 'Empower Communities, Create Impact, Sustain Future.' The summit featured a keynote session, a plenary dialogue, and presentations by APUCEN members on ongoing activities and initiatives. Furthermore, the COMPASSION Initiative Book was launched during the summit.
