?His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, as Personal Representative of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam was at the Brunei International Airport, to welcome His Excellency Shri Narendra Modi, Prime Minister of the Republic of India who is in Brunei Darussalam for a two-day Official Visit. The Official Visit is the first visit of His Excellency as the Prime Minister of the Republic of India to Brunei Darussalam. His Excellency began his third term as the Prime Minister of the Republic of India on 9th June 2024.
The Official Welcoming Ceremony began with the National Anthems of both countries. His Excellency subsequently inspected the Guard of Honour mounted by members of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, RBAF.
His Excellency was introduced to Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Heal
th as Minister-in-Attendance; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Muhammad Juanda bin Haji Abdul Rashid, Minister of Development; Deputy Ministers at the Prime Minister’s Office; Commissioner of Police of the Royal Brunei Police Force; Commander of the RBAF; High Commissioner of Brunei Darussalam to the Republic of India; Foreign Envoys in Brunei Darussalam; as well as Permanent Secretaries from the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was then introduced to the official delegation of the Republic of India.
