Effective surveillance systems and timely information sharing continue be the backbone in strengthening regional preparedness. However, public health surveillance should not just be top-down, with monitoring only done by the authorities.
Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health outlined the matters at the Closing Ceremony of the 2nd ASEAN Digital Public Health, DPH held at The Empire Brunei, Jerudong.
Also present were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy and Dato Paduka Lim Jock Hoi, ASEAN Secretary-General.
