ASEAN Tourism Standards Awards Recognize Brunei’s Commitment to Excellence

Cebu city: The ASEAN Tourism Standards Awards recently celebrated excellence in tourism by recognising establishments that adhere to quality standards and sustainable practices. The award ceremony took place in Cebu City, Philippines, as part of the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2026. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, the Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism, presented the awards to the recipients from Brunei Darussalam.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the Radisson Hotel received the ASEAN Green Hotel Award, showcasing its commitment to environmental sustainability. Additionally, Dewan An-Naura at Radisson Hotel and Dewan Utama Indera Samudra at The Empire Brunei were recognised in the Meeting Room category. The ASEAN MICE Venue Award for the Exhibition Venue category was awarded to Dewan Utama Indera Samudra at The Empire Brunei and BRIDEX International Conference Centre.

These accolades reflect Brunei Darussalam's dedication to providing high-quality experiences for international visitors, reinforcing its status as a premier tourism destination in the ASEAN region.
