ASEAN Working Group on Intellectual Property Cooperation Meeting

In this age of the internet and digital technology the promotion and protection of intellectual property, in particular copyright have become more critical than ever especially with the advancement of artificial intelligence. Speaking at the opening of the 73rd ASEAN Working Group on Intellectual Property Cooperation, AWGIPC Meeting, Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Paduka Dayang Hajah Nor Hashimah Binti Haji Mohammed Taib, Attorney General explained that through cooperation and harmonisation efforts under the AWGIPC, these new and upcoming challenges can be overcome. The meeting organised by the Brunei Darussalam Intellectual Property Office, Bru IPO is held until the 5th of September at a Hotel in Gadong. According to the Attorney General, the ASEAN IPR Action Plan can address emerging challenges and seize new opportunities in the global IP landscape to support sustainable economic growth.
