Bandar seri begawan: The Bloodkad app, a digital tool designed to streamline blood donation processes, was highlighted during a recent blood donation campaign organized by the Brunei Darussalam Food Authority (BDFA). The event, supported by the Blood Donation Centre, Department of Laboratory Services, Ministry of Health, took place at BDFA's Atrium.
According to Radio Television Brunei, Awang Haji Matusof bin Haji Daud, Blood Bank Chief Supervisor at Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha Hospital, emphasized the app's utility in making appointments, checking blood donation records, and monitoring blood stock levels. The app is applicable not only at Government Hospitals and Jerudong Park Medical Centre but also during selected blood donation campaigns.
The campaign, celebrating BDFA's 5th Anniversary, successfully collected 84 pints of blood. Awang Haji Matusof highlighted the significance of such initiatives in promoting volunteerism, social responsibility, and community unity. The Bloodkad app offers the public a convenient option to participate in these efforts by facilitating the donation process.
