Riyadh: His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council, attended the Karate event at the Malaz Combat Hall, where two national athletes represented Brunei in different categories. His Royal Highness offered words of guidance to the national athletes during his visit.

According to Radio Television Brunei, in the Women’s Individual Kata, Farhah Syahirah binti Mohd Sahmrin was defeated in the quarterfinals by an athlete from Algeria. In the Men’s Individual Kata, Mohammad Nazirul bin Haji Johari also faced a quarterfinal exit against a competitor from the United Arab Emirates, after securing a victory against a Nigerian athlete in the round of 16.
