Bandar seri begawan: Brunei Darussalam's first National Geographic Society-funded film, 'The Gula Anau Story,' premiered at Onecity Shopping Centre on the night of January 9th. The premiere event was attended by Doctor Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, who is the Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.

According to Radio Television Brunei, 'The Gula Anau Story' also marked the official launch of the Ekosistem Rasa: Borneo-Brunei's Culinary Landscape documentary series. The 61-minute documentary was directed by Joshua Belayan, Brunei Darussalam's only National Geographic Explorer, in collaboration with award-winning filmmaker Syafi Halim. The production was undertaken by New Wave Films with Kitani Kreatif serving as the Impact and Marketing Partner.
