Brunei Ocean Exhibition Showcases Art and Conservation Efforts

Bandar seri begawan: Blue economy, mangrove ecosystems, and water village life were among the highlights of the Brunei Ocean Exhibition 2026, held in conjunction with Ocean Week Brunei 2026. The exhibition, which features ocean art and creative workshops, is taking place at a shopping centre in Jalan Utama Salambigar and will run until June 14.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was attended by Dayang Hajah Tutiaty binti Haji Abdul Wahab, Deputy Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry. The exhibition also included a presentation on shipwrecks in Brunei and Borneo waters and the prize presentation for the Brunei Ocean Art Photo Competition.

During the event, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Poni Foundation and Sabah Wetlands Conservation Society for the Carbon AKAR Project. This initiative focuses on mangrove restoration, climate action, and community participation. Additionally, a photography book was presented to attendees.
