The team triumphed over Indonesia's polo team at the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand. The match occurred at Siam Polo Park on the afternoon of December 19th.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the National Polo Team achieved a 6-5 victory against the Indonesian Polo team in a closely contested match that spanned four chukkas. His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen contributed to the team's success by scoring a goal in the first chukka.
