Brunei: The Brunei Darussalam delegation, consisting of 16 youths along with a head of delegation, set off for Tokyo, Japan, on the afternoon of January 14th to participate in the 49th Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Programme, also known as SSEAYP.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the delegation was bid farewell at the Brunei International Airport by Awang Haji Mohamad Rosfazilah bin Haji Yusly, the Acting Director of Youth and Sports. The group is under the leadership of Awang Ibrahim bin Haji Sabli, Assistant Supervisor of the Youth Centre, and will engage in a 34-day programme that spans from January 15th to February 17th. During this period, they will board the Nippon Maru ship and are scheduled to visit selected countries, including Singapore and Thailand.
The SSEAYP programme is designed to cultivate ties and understanding among participants and to enhance their global perspective while promoting international cooperation.
