Brunei’s Crown Prince Embarks on Official Visit to China

Bandar seri begawan: His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, along with Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah, has departed for the People's Republic of China for an official visit scheduled from May 11 to May 15, 2026. The visit is at the invitation of His Excellency Han Zheng, Vice President of the People's Republic of China.

According to Radio Television Brunei, accompanying Their Royal Highnesses are Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Muneerah Madhul Bolkiah, Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Muda Muhammad Aiman, and Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Anak Faathimah Az-Zahraa' Raihaanul Bolkiah. Prior to their departure, a Doa Selamat was recited by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Awang Haji Salim bin Haji Besar.

The farewell ceremony at His Majesty the Sultan's Flight Hangar was attended by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Cheteria, Cabinet Ministers, a Member of the Privy Council, the Deputy Commissioner of Police from the Royal Brunei Police Force, and the Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

Upon arrival at Beijing Capital International Airport, Their Royal Highnesses were welcomed by Her Excellency Hua Chunying, Member of the CPC Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, His Excellency Chen Shaochun, Ambassador-designate of the People's Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam, and his wife. Awangku Muhammad Saifuddin bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sallehuddin, the Charg© d' Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam to the People's Republic of China, and his spouse were also present to welcome the delegation.
