Berakas: The 2nd National Literature Symposium concluded on the morning of 19th November with the presentation of a resolution aiming to position Brunei Darussalam as a center for the development of Islamic literature. The closing ceremony took place at the Language and Literature Bureau in Berakas.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was graced by the presence of Dr. Siti Norkhalbi binti Haji Wahsalfelah, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. Throughout the symposium, 14 working papers were presented, including a keynote speech that highlighted the literary contributions of Allahyarham Pehin Jawatan Luar Pekerma Raja Dato Seri Utama Ustaz Haji Awang Mohd Zain bin Haji Serudin.
