Jerudong: Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore will continue to deepen their partnership, adapt to new challenges, and contribute meaningfully to peace and stability in the region for many decades to come. His Excellency Vice Admiral Dato Paduka Seri Aaron Beng, Chief of Defence Force, Singapore Armed Forces, highlighted this during a Commemorative Dinner marking 50 Years of Defence Relations between both countries. The event took place at a hotel in Jerudong on the night of January 12th.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the dinner was attended by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence. The event also featured the launching of the 50th Anniversary Logo by the Chief of Defence Force, Singapore Armed Forces and Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
