Brunei muara: Various parties continue to enliven the Tasyrik Days with the rites of sacrifice to instil the spirit of cooperation, besides sharing sustenance with those in need. The Ministry of Defence held such a ceremony at Surau Ad-Difa', Bolkiah Garrison, where 37 buffaloes and 9 goats were sacrificed. The distribution of the sacrificial meat was officiated by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the Kampung Serdang Mosque Takmir Committee also participated in the rites of sacrifice. The ceremony saw the sacrifice of three buffaloes, with the distribution of the sacrificial meat being officiated by Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohd Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs.

In the Tutong District, the Religious Bureau of the Consultative Council of Kampung Merimbun and Kuala Ungar, Mukim Rambai, conducted a similar ceremony. A buffalo was sacrificed this year, with the distribution of the sacrificial meat officiated by Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Mohamad Danial @ Tekpin bin Ya'akub, Member of the Legislative Council.
