Bandar seri begawan: 29 Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) personnel who participated in the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) peacekeeping mission, as part of the Malaysian Battalion (MALBATT), were honored in a Doa Kesyukuran Ceremony to mark their safe return to the country. The ceremony took place at Surau Ad-Difa', Bolkiah Garrison, on the morning of 26th December.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was graced by the presence of Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence. The returning contingent was led by Major Pengiran Muhammad Syahir Fadillah bin Pengiran Salleh. After completing a year-long deployment, the personnel returned safely to Brunei Darussalam on 5th December. The ceremony also featured a Tazkirah, a short talk titled 'Taddabur Surah Al-Fath: Kemenangan yang hakiki'.
