The art of mukun is now gaining a place in society. But not everyone knows what mukun art is. Several initiatives have been taken to preserve the tradition of mukun art. One of them is to introduce the traditional art among teenagers.
To realise this, the Kelab Budaya Mukun Selendang Sutera Brunei conducts continuous activities towards honing the dwindling interest in the tradition, in addition to ensuring that the skills of the art are inherited. This is because mukun requires creativity in poetry and playing the instruments used.
The art of mukun is indeed popular as one of the cultures to entertain during the events and weddings.
