In reference to images that went viral recently on social media reportedly showing a group of foreign nationals still seen gathering in a public place in the country, the Minister At The Prime Minister’s Office And Second Minister Of Finance And Economy, emphasized that it is the responsibility of every employer to ensure that their employees adhere to the rules and regulations stipulated in dealing with and curbing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
The Ministry of Health’s strategy of “Bersama Melindungi Negara Kitani” or “Together We Protect Our Nation” involves everyone who is currently in Brunei Darussalam, that is, both locals and foreign nationals, such that they would together preserve the safety and well-being of the public by following health protocols and the set guidelines. Should there be any foreign nationals who still find the latest health regulations and guidelines difficult to understand, it would be advisable for their employers to explain to them in greater detail so as to avoid a recurrence of the matter in future.
