Endowments as a Path to Eternal Rewards Highlighted in Friday Sermon

Bandar seri begawan: In a recent Friday sermon titled "Gaining Continuous Rewards Through Endowments," the significant benefits of giving Wakaf, or endowments, were emphasized. This practice not only benefits society but also ensures that the giver continues to receive rewards for their actions as long as the donated material remains in use by the public, extending even beyond their lifetime.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the sermon outlined several key points. Firstly, spending one's cherished wealth in the way of Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala is a path to achieving perfect virtue, which includes the reward of heaven, mercy, blessings, and protection from divine punishment. Secondly, it highlighted the importance for Muslims to prioritize their immediate family members when giving charity, as it is considered a noble and commendable act. Lastly, it was emphasized that Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala is All-Knowing of every deed performed by His servants. Those who give charity and endowments not only shield themselves from stinginess but also protect themselves from the torment of Hellfire.
