This year's theme for Breast Cancer Awareness Month throughout October is 'Think Pink, Take Action.' The theme encourages women to take action by performing breast examination once a month, and undergoing regular screening mammogram. In conjunction with the Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2023, tonight's bulletin will share on the efforts on the latest breast cancer detection and treatment in Brunei Darussalam.
According to the Director of The Brunei Cancer Centre, various services are available in the country to facilitate breast cancer screening, from radiotherapy to the latest treatment drugs.
Most breast cancer patients are facing decisions on surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and others. A Breast Care Nurse Specialist explained the processes that are designed to assist patients in understanding their choices and make the best decision.
