Several people who fell victim to the floods in Temburong District on the 5th of March and a house fire in Tutong District on the 16th of March received financial assistance from the government through the allocation of the Department of Community Development, JAPEM. The handover ceremony was held separately at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports and Pusat Bahagia, Tutong.
In the morning, Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports handed over aid to 3 heads of families who fell victim to the floods in Kampung Puni, Temburong.
Meanwhile in the afternoon, the assistance was handed over to a head of family who fell victim to a house fire in Kampung Kandang, Sengkarai Tutong. The ceremony coincided with the reading of tahlil and doa arwah for the fallen victim of the fire.
