?A donation amounting to $75,800? was handed over by Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah to some mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide specifically to hold events or activities in conjunction with this year’s Maulidur Rasul Sallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam. The presentation ceremony for 72 mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide took place on 3rd September afternoon, at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex, Bandar Seri Begawan.
For mosques, suraus and religious halls in Brunei Muara District and Belait District, the donation was handed over by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Defence as Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors. Meanwhile, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doktor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism as a Member of Yayasan Board of Directors, handed over the donation to mosques, su
raus and religious halls in Tutong District and Temburong District. The donations were handed over to the mosques, suraus and religious halls’ imams.
