Kiarong: The Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Takmir Committee, in collaboration with Rabitah Al-Qurra' of Brunei Darussalam, organized the Haflah Al-Qur'an event in conjunction with Nuzul Al-Qur'an. This event was specifically for National Qari and Qariah who have participated in various musabaqah.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the primary objective of the event was to serve as an official platform that brings together Qari and Qariah from across the nation. It aimed to offer an organized, professional, and inclusive setting that aligns with the country's aspirations based on the Malay Islamic Monarchy philosophy. Additionally, the event hopes to have a lasting impact in cultivating a generation of Qari and Qariah who are proficient, trustworthy, and competitive. This initiative is intended to reinforce the country's standing as one that consistently upholds Al-Qur'an and Islamic principles.
