According to Radio Television Brunei, the session emphasized the importance of having clear guidelines to ensure products are halal, extending beyond food and beverages. The discussion also covered regional cooperation among ASEAN countries to bolster religious affairs collaboration. Additionally, there was a focus on nurturing local Islamic finance experts skilled in both conventional and Syariah-compliant finance.
Efforts were also directed towards ensuring the marketability of graduates aligns with the country's strategic direction. Enhancing community understanding of the implementation of hudud law was another key area discussed. The debate highlighted the marriage solemniser appointment mechanism to ensure marriages comply with national laws and addressed the strategic use of halal certificates to access the global halal market.
