13 special needs students from 10 government and private schools as well as 8 other schools received donations in the form of special equipment and learning resources from Jerudong International School, JIS. Organised by the Ministry of Education through the Department of Special Education, the donation presentation took place yesterday morning at Keriam Primary School, Tutong District.
The donations were presented by Awang Eddy Fazlin bin Haji Amdan, Acting Head of Special Education Unit, Department of Special Education, Ministry of Education. Also present, Paul Bannister, Head of Junior School, JIS. Donations include tablets, laptops, wheelchairs, trampoline and learning resources aimed to assist special needs students in their learning and mobility. The event was an ongoing collaborative effort between the Department of Special Education, Ministry of Education and Junior School, JIS since 2002.
