Her Royal Highness Joins Conservation Effort at Big Blue Hope Event

Serasa: Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman participated in the Big Blue Hope, a coral planting and underwater conservation activity in Brunei Darussalam. The activity, which is one of the main marine conservation programmes in conjunction with Brunei Ocean Week 2026, began at the Fisheries Jetty, Department of Fisheries, Serasa, on the morning of June 10th.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was organised by the Poni Foundation with the support of Poni Group. The initiative aims to bring communities together for practical coral reef restoration, focusing on coral planting, reef conservation, and marine awareness. As part of the initiative, 333 coral reefs were planted at Pulau Pilong-Pilongan.

The Big Blue Hope event highlights the importance of marine conservation and the role of community engagement in preserving ocean ecosystems. By involving various stakeholders, the programme seeks to foster understanding and commitment towards sustainable marine practices.
