Berlin: His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, departed Berlin for Hamburg, the Federal Republic of Germany. Accompanying His Majesty was His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen.

According to Radio Television Brunei, His Majesty was seen off at Berlin Brandenburg Airport by officers from the Federal Foreign Office of the Federal Republic of Germany. The gesture marked the end of his stay in Berlin and the beginning of his visit to Hamburg.

Upon His Majesty's arrival at Hamburg Airport, he was welcomed by J¶rg Paisen, Director at Lufthansa Technik AG, along with Brigadier Retired General Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud bin Haji Saidin, the Director of His Majesty the Sultan's Flight. Other senior management representatives of Lufthansa Technik AG were also present to greet His Majesty.
