‘Ihsan Yayasan’ Programme Eases Financial Burden for 150 Families Nationwide

Bandar seri begawan: The 'Ihsan Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah' Programme, held in conjunction with the month of Ramadhan, was executed to alleviate the financial burden on those in need for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri. BND154,900.00, alongside donations of food necessities, hari raya treats, and soft drinks, were distributed to 150 families across the country, including senior citizens and others in need. The donations were provided in several villages across the four districts.

According to Radio Television Brunei, in Brunei Muara District, the donation ceremony was led by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism and member of the Yayasan Board of Directors. Dr. Nor Imtihan binti Haji Abdul Razak, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Development and Acting Managing Director of Yayasan, was also present.

In Temburong District, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi Mohamad, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, as a member of the Yayasan Board of Directors, presented the contributions. The Yayasan provided equipment needed by patients, particularly the elderly, as part of its continued support for those in need.

Meanwhile, in Belait District, the donation was officiated by Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Paduka Dayang Hajah Nor Hashimah binti Haji Mohammed Taib, Attorney General and member of the Yayasan Board of Directors. Through the programme, Yayasan also offered support to five families affected by fires in various villages.

In Tutong District, the donations were delivered by Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Sufian bin Haji Sabtu, Deputy Minister for Security and Law at the Prime Minister's Office and a member of the Yayasan Board of Directors. The 'Ihsan' Programme aligns with Yayasan's strategic goals of addressing the basic needs of those in need.
