Bandar seri begawan: The International Conference on Community Outreach and People Empowerment 2026, organized by Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University (UNISSA) in collaboration with Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, continued on the afternoon of July 6th with a keynote presentation delivered by Professor Doctor Mahazan Abdul Mutalib, a professor from the Faculty of Leadership and Management at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was attended by Professor Doctor Siti Sara binti Haji Ahmad, Assistant Rector for Academic at UNISSA. The theme of the presentation, 'Memperkasa Khidmat Masyarakat ke Arah Pembangunan Ummah Lestari', highlighted the critical role universities play in bolstering social responsibility to support the sustainable development agenda. Key areas of focus included the role of higher education institutions in integrating the Sustainable Development Goals into teaching, research, and community service, as well as fostering a new generation of researchers and leaders who can effectively connect academic knowledge with social realities.
