All departments, health workers and administrators are hoped to work together to develop effective prevention and control. With strategic guidance from the Ministry of Health, health institutions are expected to continue to improve preparedness in the surge of Healthcare Associated Infections and emerging Infectious Diseases such as COVID-19. The matter was among underlined by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Md Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health during the International Infection Prevention Awareness Week 2022. The function was held at The Empire Brunei, 3rd December night.
This year’s International Infection Prevention Week carries a theme, ”The Future is Infection Prevention: 50 Years of Infection Prevention”. The ceremony ran concurrently with prizes presentation to winners of poster digital competition campaign organised by the Jerudong Park Medical Centre, JPMC. Also held was a plenary session from invited speakers.
