Isolated rain showers continue to prevail across PH

MANILA: Isolated rain showers will continue to prevail over most areas in the country, the weather bureau said Wednesday.

The trough of a low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, however, will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the provinces of Isabela, Aurora, Quezon, Camarines Norte, and Camarines Sur.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) added that those areas would likely experience moderate to heavy rains, resulting in flash floods or landslides.

“The rest of the country will experience warm and humid weather at noon. Isolated rain showers are likely,” PAGASA forecaster Obet Badrina said.

He added that the country is experiencing a monsoon break as not much rains are observed despite the declaration of the onset of the rainy season.

Badrina said no tropical cyclone is seen to affect or enter the country throughout the week.

The southwest monsoon or habagat would bring rains in several parts of the co
untry over the weekend.

Meanwhile, light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas will prevail across the archipelago, PAGASA said.
