The Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and Economy, Ministry of Home Affairs and Darussalam Enterprise, DARe is organising the Local Product Expo 2022 in conjunction with the 6th Brunei December Festival. The 4-day expo is a platform for local entrepreneurs to promote and expand the market for their products. The launching ceremony took place at Bridex International Conference Centre in Jerudong.
The launching was jointly-officiated by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Minister of Home Affairs.
Earlier, Dayang Hajah Tutiaty binti Haji Abdul Wahab, Permanent Secretary at the Primary Resources and Tourism as Co-Chair of the Expo in her speech among others explained that the Local Product Expo 2022 gives local entrepreneurs the opportunity to expand their business networks through entrepreneurship briefing and seminar as well as networking and business matching activities.
The event ran concurrently the Inauguration of the upgraded Pengguna Bijak Mobile App. Over 200 participants are taking part in the expo, comprising local entrepreneurs and companies as well as Village Consultative Councils, MPK. The expo is open to the public until 4th December, from 9 in the morning until 9 at night.
