Launching of ‘Ruqyah dan Doa Penyembuh’ Book

Berakas: The implementation of ruqyah or spiritual healing and modern medicine with clear guidelines can enhance treatment effectiveness and overall patient well-being.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the Minister of Health highlighted that a balanced approach between spiritual and modern medicine adds value to the national health system, such as reducing stigma towards mental illness and strengthening community and family support. Speaking during the launching of a book titled 'Ayat-Ayat Al-Qur'an Selaku Ruqyah (Jampi) dan Do'a Penyembuh', Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar stated that the approach aligns with the nation's aspiration to build a healthy, resilient, and prosperous community, not only from the physical aspect but also in mental and spiritual aspects. The event took place at the International Convention Centre in Berakas.

Yang Berhormat added that efforts such as the publication of the ruqyah book are in line with the Malay Islamic Monarchy, emphasizing a balance between knowledge, faith, and the people's well-being. This also reflects the nation's commitment to holistic human development based on the values of religion, humanity, and professionalism.

Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Dr Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti, delivered a tazkirah or lecture and book review to increase understanding of the book's content.

The event coincided with the presentation of a waqaf or endowment book. Also present was Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Awang Haji Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs.
