Berakas: The Penghulu and Village Head Institution, a vital pillar of grassroots leadership, played a significant role in the recent ceremony where Letters of Appointment were presented to the Penghulu Mukims and Village Heads of Brunei Muara District. This event, crucial to the collaborative efforts towards achieving Wawasan 2035, was held at the Brunei Muara District Office on the afternoon of April 1st.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the Permanent Secretary for Municipality and District at the Ministry of Home Affairs underscored the importance of these leaders in addressing the challenges associated with the national vision. Awang Abdul Walid bin Haji Matassan called upon the penghulu and village heads to diligently execute their responsibilities, emphasizing their roles as catalysts for transformation and community well-being in their respective mukims and villages.

The ceremony was also attended by Pengiran Ameer Mubaarak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim, the Acting Brunei Muara District Officer. In addition to the distribution of Letters of Appointment, the event featured the inauguration of the Penghulu Mukim signboards at several residences, marking a new chapter in local leadership and community development.
