Jerudong: The Licensing and Enforcement Division, Brunei Muara District Office issued a compound fine to a local man for committing an offence under the Miscellaneous Offences Act Chapter 30. Indra Erwan Shah bin Mohd Shahdan was fined $100 for the offence of dumping rubbish in the Jerudong beach area on 3rd of June. The offence was found as a result of an investigation conducted through CCTV footage.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the individual was ordered to settle the compound fine within 7 days. If in default, the case will be brought to court and if convicted, he could face a fine not exceeding $9,000 or imprisonment not exceeding 12 months or both.
