Bandar seri begawan: The Lowering of the Giant-Sized Brunei Darussalam Flag was held on the afternoon of 25th February to mark the conclusion of the national flag hoisting across the country, in celebration of Brunei Darussalam's 42nd National Day. The ceremony was conducted at the open area of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex in the capital.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the event was attended by Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, who also serves as Co-Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Committee Members. The Royal Brunei Navy carried out the lowering of the giant-sized flag. The event was also graced by Members of the Legislative Council, Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, and Members of the Executive Committee.
