Maritime Museum Traveling Exhibition Highlights Brunei’s Rich Seafaring Heritage

Bandar seri begawan: In conjunction with World Maritime Day 2025, the Museums Department through the Archaeology and Monuments Division is holding the Brunei Darussalam Maritime Museum Traveling Exhibition. This exhibition is set to showcase a collection of photographs highlighting the establishment and development of the Brunei Darussalam Maritime Museum over the past decade. It will run for three months, concluding on the 26th of February.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the exhibition offers an in-depth exploration of the museum's role as an institution dedicated to studying, preserving, and exhibiting Brunei's maritime treasures. It provides a unique insight into the museum's journey from its inception in 2015 to its current status in 2025.

Additionally, the exhibition features items used by divers during the significant 1997 excavation of the Brunei Shipwreck, adding a tangible connection to the country's maritime history. This traveling exhibition aims to engage the public with Brunei's rich seafaring heritage and the museum's contributions to preserving this legacy.
