Mobile Library Service Launched to Foster Reading Culture in Brunei

Bandar seri begawan: The Language and Literature Bureau, through its Library Division, introduced the Mobile Library Service at Dato Othman Primary School, STKRJ Kampung Lambak Kiri, in the morning of June 10. This initiative aims to support the government's mission to cultivate a society that values knowledge and fosters a reading culture.

According to Radio Television Brunei, the launch was officiated by Awang Suip bin Haji Abdul Wahab, the Acting Director of the Language and Literature Bureau. The event also featured the launch of the Bestari Readers Programme, which coincided with the celebration of World Book Day 2026, organized by the school. The Mobile Library Service currently operates at 78 drop-off points across government, private, and religious schools within the Brunei Muara District.
