Bandar seri begawan: His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, emphasized the significance of strong family institutions in developing excellent human capital during a sabda at the National Level Isra’ Mi’raj Celebration for 1447 Hijrah. He highlighted that family institutions serve as the main foundation for shaping the personality, morals, and character of children, and stressed the importance of comprehensive and integrated efforts to strengthen these institutions.
According to Radio Television Brunei, the celebration took place at the International Convention Centre in Berakas, with the theme ‘Sembahyang Teras Modal Insan Cemerlang’ or ‘Prayer as the Foundation of Human Capital Excellence’, aligning with the demands of national development. Attendees included His Royal Highness’ brothers, Prince ‘Abdul Malik and Prince ‘Abdul Mateen.
His Royal Highness was greeted by notable figures, including Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris, Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara, and several ministers such as Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Awang Haji Badaruddin, Minister of Religious Affairs, among others.
The event featured the reading of Al-Qur’an verses by Awang Ahmad Zulwaqar bin Haji Suhaili and Tadabbur by Awang Haji Abdul Rashid bin Awang Haji Damit. The Minister of Religious Affairs, in his welcoming address, underscored prayer as a form of training for individuals to work diligently and earnestly, associating it with qualities valued in Islamic teachings.
His Royal Highness reiterated the values of spiritual strength, moral excellence, and self-discipline, which are nurtured through devoted prayer. He also recalled His Majesty’s titah, reminding individuals of their leadership responsibilities.
The celebration included a presentation of Selawat Badriyyah and a special performance titled ‘Istighfar Rejab’. Professor Dato’ Doctor Haji Mohd Izhar Ariff from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia delivered a talk on the importance of maintaining a relationship with Allah, solidarity, and knowledge.
The event concluded with Doa Selamat read by Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Besar. It was co-organized by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health, and Progresif Sendirian Berhad.
