Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohammad Yussof, Second Minister of Defence in his adjournment speech stressed that the development and progress of a nation including Brunei Darussalam, requires peace and a stable environment.
The Ministry of Defence will continue to play its role in ensuring national security is not jeopardised and will continue to maintain a secure environment with the cooperation of government and non-government agencies and other stakeholders through the Whole of Nation and Whole of Government approaches in together supporting the national development agenda and accomplishment of Wawasan Brunei. Realising on the importance of stability and peace as the main pre-requisites for the country’s development and achieving the Wawasan Brunei 2035, national security and defence agendas must be prioritised and cannot be compromised.
