Brunei: The Nationwide Recycling Day served as a central platform to enhance public awareness about the collective responsibility of preserving the environment through ongoing recycling practices. With efforts concentrated in all four districts, the event aimed to make a significant impact towards a greener and more sustainable future by collecting and recycling various waste materials. According to Radio Television Brunei, the event successfully gathered over 2,000 kilograms of paper waste, more than 200 kilograms of cardboard, plastic bottles, over 300 liters of used cooking oil, 80 lithium batteries, 703 units of electronic waste, and 1,242 used items. This substantial collection highlights the community's growing commitment to sustainable waste management practices. In Brunei Muara District, the initiative took place at the Jastre Office, Kampung Anggerek Desa. This location served as a focal point for individuals to contribute to the recycling effort, reinforcing the potential positive impact on the en vironment. For residents of the Belait District, recyclable waste was directed to the Belait District Branch JASTRe Office, encouraging local participation and enhancing awareness of available recycling services. The Tutong Branch of the JASTRe Office also hosted a segment of the initiative, where waste paper, plastic bottles, electronic waste, and used goods were collected, furthering community engagement in recycling efforts. In the Temburong District, the event unfolded at the Muhibah Recreation Park Car Park in Bangar Town. The initiative aimed to raise public awareness about recycling practices and familiarize the community with the recycling services accessible within the country.
