Partly cloudy skies, isolated rains forecast over most of PH

MANILA: Most parts of the country will experience cloudy skies with isolated rains, the weather bureau said Saturday.

In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the southwest monsoon will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Batanes and the Babuyan Islands.

Flash floods or landslides may occur in these areas during moderate to at times heavy rains, PAGASA warned.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience the same weather conditions due to localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the low-pressure area (LPA) that developed off extreme Northern Luzon was last tracked 375 km. north-northeast of Itbayat, Batanes as of 3 a.m.

PAGASA weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio earlier said the LPA is generally moving northward with little chance of developing into a cyclone.

The entire archipelago will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.

The temperature in Me
tro Manila will range from 26°C to 34°C; Baguio City, 17°C to 24°C; Tuguegarao City, 25°C to 35°C; Laoag City, 24°C to 32°C; Legazpi City, 27°C to 34°C; Metro Cebu, 26°C to 33°C; Puerto Princesa City, 26°C to 32°C; Metro Davao, 27°C to 34°C; and Zamboanga City, 26°C to 34°C.
