‘Pesta Kerjaya’ 2022


A recent Labour Force Survey report showed that Brunei Darussalam’s unemployment rate has decreased from 7.3 percent to 4.9 percent in 2021. This would not be achieved without the support of all parties especially industry players, training institutions and private companies. The Minister of Home Affairs stated the matter at the opening of ‘Pesta Kerjaya’ or Career Fair 2022 yesterdat Morning at BRIDEX International Conference Centre.

 

Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ahmaddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman also stressed that in ensuring the country’s workforce stay receptive with the ever-changing world of work, emphasis will continue to be placed on three important agendas, which are advocating the importance of life-long learning; adapting inclusive and progressive workplaces that promote excellent working environment; as well as strengthening ties and collaboration between private and public sector.

 

Also present, Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohammed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office; and Pengiran Datin Seri Paduka Hajah Zety Sufina binti Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Sani, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy. Over 30 government agencies and more than 100 private companies are participating in the Pesta Kerjaya, organised by the Manpower Planning and Employment Council. It is held until 27th November 2022 at BRIDEX from 9 in the morning to 6 in the afternoon, except on Friday, which is from 2:30 to 5 in the afternoon.
