Brunei muara: The Postal Services Department has officially transitioned to PosBru Sendirian Berhad, or PosBru, as of January 1, 2026. This corporatization signifies that all postal services previously managed by the department are now fully transferred to PosBru. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Syarikat Darussalam Assets Sendirian Berhad, PosBru will function as a "Public Postal Licensee" under the oversight of the Authority for Info-Communications Technology Industry (AITI).
According to Radio Television Brunei, PosBru has assured the public that the current Postal Service Rates for letters and parcels will remain unchanged despite the transition. All services and operations at existing PosBru branches will continue uninterrupted. The company has emphasized that existing services and daily interactions with the public will not experience any disruptions. Additionally, a revitalization process, which includes rebranding and interior design improvements of all PosBru branches, will be executed in phases. This approach aims to ensure that daily operations proceed smoothly and that the transition is efficient, without causing significant disruptions to customers and tenants.
