Jerudong: His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Anak Isteri Anisha Rosnah binti Adam graced the Pre-Launch Ceremony of Visit Brunei Year 2027 at Jerudong Park Garden on the night of June 20th.
According to Radio Television Brunei, upon their arrival, His Royal Highness and Yang Amat Mulia were welcomed by several key government officials. Present at the event were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies and Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi bin Haji Mohamad, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office for Civil Service Governance; Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports; and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Erywan bin Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Haji Mohd. Yusof, Second Minister of Foreign Affairs. The ceremony commenced with a cultural dance performance.
The Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies emphasized in his welcoming remarks the importance of Visit Brunei Year 2027. He described it as a nationwide initiative designed to bolster the tourism sector, aid in economic diversification, and present Brunei's unique identity to a global audience.
During the event, His Royal Highness officially unveiled the logo and mascots for Visit Brunei Year 2027. The ceremony continued with the introduction of the official theme song and a drone performance, further enlivening the occasion.
His Royal Highness and Yang Amat Mulia also explored the Visit Brunei Year 2027 Calendar of Events Showcase. This event signifies the kickoff of a series of promotional campaigns, both domestically and internationally, leading up to the year 2027. Brunei Darussalam is set to extend its marketing efforts at the Travel Meet Asia 2026 in Jakarta, from June 23rd to 24th, as the Official Destination Partner.
